Time To Abuse My Netflix: Gilmore Girls

I have a feeling this is turning into a personal blog, but then again I don't care....

BUT ANYWAY, this isn't what this post is about.

If you haven't heard (and you lived under a rock for a couple of days now), Gilmore Girls are getting a reboot on Netflix (uh....YASSS) but there's a little problem (namely me)....

I HAVEN'T ACTUALLY SEEN IT.

Sure, I've seen a couple episodes of this show (including a season that had Sebastian Bach from Skid Row in it...oddly, I had a crush on him...SUE ME, OKAY?!) But I've never actually sat down and watch this show-and since the Georgia Bulldogs aren't playing this weekend, I thought I sit down and watch this show. I often find myself comparing myself to Rory Gilmore (because she reads a lot like  do) but at the same time eat a bunch of popcorn (something I do a lot when I watch these shows.

Book Review: The Opposite of Loneliness by Marina Keegan

The Opposite of Loneliness: Essays and StoriesThe Opposite of Loneliness: Essays and Stories by Marina Keegan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was honestly pretty good and I finished it all last night (though it book me so long because of school...dammit). But honestly I loved this book a lot, including her essays. Though when I read one of Marina's essays, "I Kill for Money", I thought it was another story about a man who kills bugs for a living. But then as I read it some more, I realized that it wasn't.

Her stories were pretty good, though some of them were depressing. Some of them made me laugh like Challenger Deep and Hail, Full of Grace was a beautiful romantic story, though I hated the ending a little bit. But other than that, I loved this book a lot (though this review is short).

Book Review: Divergent by Veronica Roth

Divergent (Divergent, #1)Divergent by Veronica Roth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Divergent. Divergent, Divergent, Divergent....this book made me have some feels in the end, and this is the first time I ever picked this book up...and I loved it. A lot. Even though there's some characters I wanna smack upside their heads (Eric & Jeanine), I still enjoyed it. A lot. I loved Tris Prior and her strength, her bad-assery and how she went through the Dauntless initiation, though she had to deal with some haters during it.

But the ending....the ending just....made me mad. Made me mad to the point that I pushed the book away because it just wasn't okay the way her parent's died. But I was hella mad at Jeanine and what she did to Four (oh, I'm sorry, TOBIAS, but to me you're FOUR) and I prayed that Tobias didn't kill Tris (and my prayer came true).

But at the end they escaped from Erudite (after Tobias snapped out of it and took the program away) and now...now they're on a train. Where are they going? I'll have to find out in the next book (which I checked out today).

I honestly wouldn't have made it in Dauntless-THEY'RE CRAZY. But I did do a little quiz they had in the back of this book, and I'll be in Amity, because I'm honest, it's very easy to make me laugh, and I do appreciate the arts and I love to write a lot.

So I do recommend this book a whole lot.

The Bedtime Movie Tag

This is actually my first tag I've ever done, so whoever read this, I tag you :) Though I wasn't actually tagged, I saw it on Meanwhile, In Rivendell's blog and I thought I do it :)

1.)  A movie that kept you up all night

Hrm....a movie that kept me up all night was the two Tomb Raider Movies starring Angelina Jolie

2. A Movie that made me scared to sleep

I hate war/historical american depiction movies a lot, and they scare me half to death to the point that I couldn't sleep-it's been that way since middle and high school.

3. A Movie That Made Me Go to Sleep

None...because I can't remember a movie that made me sleepy.

4. A Movie that has left you tossing and turning all night for its anticipation of its release.

I NEED TA SEE THE BAE SOON. JUST LOOK AT THE POSTER FOR THE MOVIE.

5.)  A movie that has your dream boyfriend/girlfriend ship of two separate movies

idk really...this is confusing....because normally I'll ship the male character with me....like me and James Bond, for Example...

6.)  A movie that would be your worst nightmare to live in

Enuff said.

7.)  A movie that reminds you of nighttime

YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

8.)  A movie that has a nightmarish cliffhanger
This is hard...but Repo! The Genetic Opera wins this one again.

9.)  A movie you actually dreamed about

Now keep up with me on this one....

Okay....I dreamt one time that I was Sleeping Beauty....and I dreamt of a prince that came to kiss me awake...but he was no prince, my friends. Oh no....

IT WAS MY BAE KILLIAN JONES

10.)  A movie monster you would not want to find under your bed

I rather live than see his mug.

Book Preview: Divergent by Veronica Roth

I scream again and shove the wall with my palm. I hear something. A cracking sound. When I pull my hand away, there is a line in the glass. I slam my other hand next to the first one and drive another crack though the glass, this one spreading outward from my palm in long, crooked fingers. My chest burns like I just swallowed fire. I kick the wall. My toes ache from the impact, and I hear a long, low groan.

The pane shatters, and the force of the water against my back throws me forward. There is air again.

I gasp and sit up. I'm in the chair. I gulp and shake out my hands. Four stands to my right, but instead of helping me up, he just looks at me.

"What?" I ask.

"How did you do that?'

"Do what?"

"Crack the glass."

"I don't know." Four finally offers me his hand. I swing my legs over the side of the chair, and when I stand, I feel steady. Calm.

He sighs and grabs me by the elbow, half leading and half dragging me out of the room. We walk quickly down the hallway, and then I stop, pulling my arm back. He stares at me in silence. He won't give me information without prompting.

"What?" I demand.

"You're Divergent," he replies.

Divergent, Chapter Twenty, pgs. 254-255.

New Blog Look + What I Have Been Up To!

Hello loves!!!

I changed up my blog look-normally it'll be white and plain, but I decided to change it up a bit for fall since it's October and the lovely banner isn't mine-it belongs to the lovely Naomi  And then it's also PSL season at Starbucks, and since I can't get to it at the moment, I have some Pumpkin Spice Coffee creamer till I can actually buy it soon. And also the reason why my reading has been going slow is because...

I started school.

And though I passed all my classes (yay!!) I'm on a two week break until I start my Fall classes. And also I've been inspired to write again. I've pulled out this purple journal and started researching place for my supernatural story based on a blog I made on tumblr. I already know some of the characters that are going to be in the story:

Kate Winslet as Anastasia Bristol

Anastasia is a nephilim, a half-angel, half-witch. She doesn't know what her father, Lee Bristol, look like, but the only thing she knows is that he was an angel. But she has been through hell-she had been captured and tortured by a half-warlock named Raphael Valois. But once he died, she started to slowly build her life up again before she falls in love again.

Cam Gigandet as Raphael Valois
Now this one...yeah he smiles nice and all...but sadly he ain't a cinnamon roll. Instead he's evil as hell, and the man who tormented Anastasia-and was even close to marrying her. Sadly he was killed by her father, Lee Bristol, but sadly he came back to life and has a rune in his heart so he can fight and get her back.

Misha Collins as Lee Bristol

And this one is an actual cinnamon roll. Seriously. Lee Bristol is Ana's dad, the angel who is watching over her without her noticing. He was the one who killed Raphael, but have a feeling that he'll come back soon to hurt his little girl (though she isn't).

Annnd that's all I've been up to! What have you guys been up to?

Book Review: Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2) by Cassandra Clare

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2)Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OH. MY. GOD.

THIS. BOOK. THOUGH.

Once again, Cassandra Clare has written the most wonderful book that took me a long time to read (thanks school) but I enjoyed it a lot and it took me almost a long time to do this review. So how did I enjoy this book?

Well I enjoyed it. A lot. The first part of the book made me mad because of Will being a dingle-donger. How did he become a dingle-donger in the first part, you ask? Well for one he kept going to Magnus (in which I STILL WANNA CLIMB THAT MAN LIKE A TREE, but in this book they were in the same room together. SAME ROOM. I ALMOST DIED.) because he was looking for the demon that "cursed" him. Then he and Tessa went to the Lightwood party where Tessa went as Jessamaine and Nate told her almost everything they wanted to know...even when Tessa found out that Nate and Jessamaine was married (in which I didn't believe one bit....one bit at all). When they came back to the Institute from the party, Tessa told her friend Sophie to wake Charlotte so she can tell them everything they learned. While Charlotte went to call the Slient Brothers, Jessamaine kept swearing up and down that Nate loved her, and Tessa kept telling her that he didn't.

THEN FINALLY, when Will found the demon and found that that he didn't place a curse on him or his family, he ran back to the Institution to confess his love for Tessa, it was too late-Jem had already asked her to marry him, and she said yes. Will tried to get her to break the enagement, but Tessa won't do it.

But can we talk about Jem x Tessa, or Jessa? Please? At first I wasn't feelin' it, but the more I read, the more...I...actually...ship....them. *gasp* I know. From finding Will in that opium den to visiting Jessamine in the Slient City, I slowly started to ship them. A lot. And I can't wait to read what happens with them in the third book.

But at the end when they exposed Mr. Lightwood (while Will caterwauled about demon pox) and voted for Charlotte to keep running the Insitiute, those clockwork automotations came down, making those annoying clicking sounds-but anyway, one of them jumped down and Henry "killed it", smashing it with his fist and turned out it was a spy from Mortmain when he found out that Mr. Lightwood betrayed him.

So Charlotte's still running the Insitute, Jem and Tessa are getting married, Will's heartbroken....or is he...when his sister comes and wants to train to be a Shadowhunter.

WOT?!

But I loved this book and I do reconmend this a lot.
