Book Hypothesis: The Great Hunt by Robert Jordan

For today's book hypothesis, I thought I tackle this great fantasy by the late Robert Jordan called The Great Hunt.

Now for my history on the books: I go the book Winter's Heart when I was in middle school and it took me a YEAR to finish. I've always been insterested in this book series, but I couldn't find the time to read them. Now that I'm older and have more time to read, I picked up The Great Hunt because I wanted to start the book series right instead of picking bits and pieces of the series before not knowing how Rand al'Thor became the Dragon Reborn, or how Moiraine and Rand got together, OR how he defeated the Dark One.

Now from the cover of the novel, it looks like they're looking for a horn...with a weird looking dude who has weird ears...but other than that it looks like an awesome book (and I forgot what chapter I'm on) and when I get done I'm DEFINITELY reviewing this.

Book Review: Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty by Jody Gehrman

Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty (Triple Shot Bettys, #1)Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty by Jody Gehrman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It's supposed to be the best summer ever in Geena's book, but sadly it wasn't because....

1. Hero, Geena's cousin, and Amber, Geena's friend and co-worker of the Triple Shot Betty, weren't getting along UNTIL Hero met Claudio, Amber and Hero are buddies, and Amber and Hero was in a horrible deal that lowered their reputation until all three of them got back on the dude and all three are now BFFS.

2. She's supposed to hate Ben but after her friends tricked her into liking him, they kissed (twice) and she thought Ben was in cahoots with John, but it didn't look that way.

3. Hero being lovestruck by Claudio.

4. John being a TOTAL DUCHE BECAUSE HE'S A DUCHEY-DUCHE TYPE GUY THAT NEEDS TO GET OFF AND GO SOMEWHERE FROM THIS PLANET.

5. Hero breaking out of her pink-girlyness and changing up her look.

So that's all that happened in the novel, summed up by me. It was really really good and I honestly enjoyed myself.

Book Hypothesis: Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty by Jody Gehrman

This is something new on my blog-after two years of previewing and book reviewing (August 12 of this year is my three year anniversary on this blog) I figured I do something new on here (as I tried to do with 'Abuse My Netflix, which I don't have anymore) which is take photos of the books I'm about to read and preview them. This month, this book is called Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty.

From the cover of the book (that's what drew me to the book) I figured this book was about a group of people who love coffee. Or about a college group of girls who works at the coffee house called Triple Shot Betty and while working there falls in love with three boys and all three of them fall in love.

From the back, it has names of the characters-Amber, John, Hero, Claudio, Geena, and Ben. So I'm guessing that all of them are falling in love with each other, except Geena and Ben, who obviously hate each other. Hero and Claudio are dating, Amber told John that she loves him, but John wants Hero, but Hero's in love with Claudio....

Oy vey this sounds like a really good book.

Book Review: Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver

Pandemonium (Delirium, #2)Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Since I skipped the first book, Delirium (thanks, public library) I didn't know what to expect when I picked up Pandemonium. Pandemonium is my first YA Dystopian novel, and it interested me a lot.

Thoughout the story, it has flashbacks when Lena was in the Wilds with Raven and her group while thinking about Alex while in the present, Lena goes to a meeting with the DFA, and gets captured with a boy named Julian Fineman, a rich kid who hasn't been though the operation to get rid of the deliria, aka love. After being captured by the Savengers and kept in one room for days, they finally escape to a homestead, where rat-man and Coin took care of them before they went to another homestead, this time the one Lena remembers, and they stay there for one night until they were captured by the SWAT team and Lena was reunited with Tack and Raven, while Julian went back to his father.

Tack and Raven told Lena that everything she went through was planned by Tack and Raven. Lena got mad and as soon as they left and went to a homestead, Lena snuck out to the Fineman residence, where she found a book in the forbidden library and found information about her mother. Running out the house after almost getting caught by Thomas Fineman, she goes to the hospital (she overheard Thomas on the phone-she was there finding Julian), where she slipped in a glass-window room and watched as they brought Julian in, ready for his execution.

But that didn't happen, did it?

Thanks to Raven, she burst in and shot Thomas Fineman, I forgot who she beat up, and Lena, Julian, and Raven ran outside, where Julian and Lena made promises to be together forever.

"Don't believe her." a voice says.

Lena turns around....and dun dun dun, it's Alex....dead boy Alex. SUPPOSED to be dead Alex.

In the immortal words of Stewie Griffin: What the deuce?
