Awakened by P.C. Cast

My god...this book, this book, this book...hell, this world basically....I missed it so much when I picked it up. This book made me have so many feels, from the death of someone to Neferet being a bitch, and the Kalona and Rephaim plan to betray Neferet because they realize that Neferet never had any control over him at all....
But let's talk about Jack's death-the death that just...just hurts so much. The boy was innocent, waiting on Zoey to come home that he made a whole bunch of origamis for her, and he wanted to sing the Glee version of Defying Gravity, but now he can't since Neferet used him as a bloody sacrifice to Darkness. And Damien...I felt sorry for Damien when he found the body, and Stevie Rae knew that Neferet did it, but didn't know how. Thus the reason why Zoey came back from the Isle of Skye, though she didn't want to because of her conscience (I believe) along with her Warrior and Guardian Stark (in which I ship them 110%).
And the relationship between Rephaim and Stevie Rae, though how secret it can be, came out at Jack's funeral (thanks Neferet for coming in and pretending that she forgive her and all that jazz-which were *Kathy Bates voice* LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIESSSSSSSSSSSS) but then when Nyx showed up after she tried to out Zoey and told Damien that Jack was happy in her gardens and that he'll see her again, turning Rephaim into a raven by day and a boy by night, giving Dragon the choice to forgive Rephaim for the death of his love Anastasia, ant giving Neferet a chance to come back to the right path of the Goddess (but honestly, I wish she didn't do it because she didn't do it).
And then the death of Zoey's mother, Linda...I shed some tears when I read that death, because once again, it was uncalled for, Neferet wanted to kill Zoey's grandmother after she basically took over House of Night again, and all because she wanted a vessel....which had Heath's soul in it, making him reincarnated in the vessel now called Aurox (which is the most stupidest name I've ever heard).
I really enjoyed this book and I want to get the rest of the books and read more because I honestly missed this world so much.

Book Review: Isle of the Lost (Descendants, #1) by Melissa de la Cruz
The Isle of the Lost by Melissa de la Cruz
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I read this book on a trip to Florida and I finished it while on the road coming back home-and OMG I love it. This book is the prequel to the movie Descendants on Disney Channel and the show Wicked World, and I honestly fell in love with it. The children of famous Disney Villians-Maleficent, Jafar, Evil Queen, and Cruella de Vil-are looking for the Dragon's Eye, Maleficent's magic staff, that is at the Forbidden Fortress, in the middle of nowhere at the Isle of the Lost. Mal wants to find the Dragon's Eye so she can make Evie, the new girl in school, fall asleep for a thousand years, even though at her Howling party at Carlos's house when she locked her in the closet....the problem is, it didn't work since Mal touched it and was knocked out for a moment, but then she woke up from it.
Jay, Jafar's son, wants to steal the Dragon's Eye from Mal because....because...oh good lord, I forgot why he wanted to steal the Dragon's Eye from Mal....maybe to make his father happy or something like that???
Evie went along with her new friend Carlos because of his machine that made a hole in the dome, and Carlos went along because of his machine. But at the end of their adventures, all of the villans were disappointed in them because none of them got the Dragon's Eye, including Maleficent when Mal can back and she had the staff in her hand.
How did she get it back, you ask?
That evil, evil raven pet of hers, Diablo, grabbed it (oh, did I mention that Diablo came back to life???) and brought it to her.
This book also share a little bit of Aurdon (I cannot spell that place), especially Prince Ben, the son of Beast and Belle, and his little problem with some of the characters on his island, his girlfriend Princess Audrey, and his weird dream of Mal and frolicking in a garden with her. Then at the end of the book, he has an idea after feeling sorry for the kids of the Isle of the Lost....
I loved it and now I'm planning to get the second book real soon and maybe try and catch the movie.
